What is Functional Training: Functional training helps provide you with the strength, stability, power, mobility, endurance and flexibility that you need to thrive as you move through your life and sports. You use basic functional movement patterns like pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, rotating, carrying and gait patterns (walking and running) every day.
If you’ve been following me for a while, this is probably why. You understand the importance of training across all planes and embrace the benefits of grinding out an intense workout.
I’ve listed 3 of my favorite Functional Workouts here for your viewing pleasure. However, we all know that the real key to performance for endurance training is proper nutrition hacks like manipulation of carbs, protein intake, hydration, and supplementation. Most of these BS site and magazines shout “Fitness is 80%” diet, well, they aren’t blowing a bunch of steam up your arse.
When was the last time you experimented with something new? Have you tried intermittent fasting? How about carb loading? How about carb cycling?
