Dramatic Transformation Principle = Pain!

One of the reasons I love the Training profession is the abundance of theories, principles, and systems that exist.  There are so many intelligent and successful people to learn from and bounce ideas off.  Kris Gethin has been a massage therapist, all natural bodybuilder, trainer and is current editor-in-chief of Bodybuilding.com's SuperSite.  He pioneered the popular DTP or Dramatic Transformation Principle.

"DTP targets both the fast twitch and slow twitch muscle fibers in order to both enhance and define your muscle. It provides an overflow of nutrient rich blood to the muscle group you are training to provide a fuller appearance and more separation to the physique, at the same time increasing the heart rate and the intensity to burn fat and build muscle as well. You complete a total of ten sets with a rep range of 50, 40, 30, 20, and 10 for the first five. Once you complete the set of 10, you complete a second set of 10 and then do 20, 30, 40, and then 50 again at the end. You rest about forty five seconds in between each set."

I decided to put the DTP (Dramatic Transformation Principle) to the test.  I'll tell you what.  After the first set of 50 Leg Extensions I could tell this was going to be a tough night!  The leg pump was insane and each set got harder and harder.  This is definitely one to keep in the repertoire.

Try it out and let me know what you think.
