8. What should I eat? How much?
What should I eat? Mostly plants.
How much? Not too much.
Pretty simple, eh? I'm not going to get off that easy, I know. Here are some more simple yet effective tips on nutrition.
A. No legs, 1 leg, 2 legs, 4 legs.
No legs=Fish 1 Leg=Plants 2 Legs=Poultry 4 Legs=Beef, Pork, other four-legged animals
Eat more fish, plants, and poultry. Leave the four legged animals for last.
B. Half your bodyweight in oz. of water.
If you are a 100lb man, drink 50 oz. of water per/day. More if you exercise.
C. If you cannot pronounce the ingredients, DON'T EAT IT! It's probably not food.
D. If it has more than 5 ingredients, it's probably not food. I'm not talking about a salad with tomatoes, lettuce, onion, chicken, etc. I'm talking about the box of Cheesie Puffs that lists every element on the periodic table as an ingredient. Come on man. Put them down. They won't help you with question 9. Put them down.
E. Colors – Put as many colors on your plate as possible. I’m not talking about fruity pebbles! I mean red cranberries, yellow banana, green asparagus, blueberries, orange carrots, etc. The more colors the better. If you look at your plate and it’s all white or all brown, you are not eating a balanced diet!!
